​In a world plagued by the Nightmare Spell, young people are forced to enter a terrifying alternate dimension called the Dream Realm. If they survive their First Nightmare, they become “Awakened”—warriors with supernatural powers. But for Sunny, a street rat with nothing to lose, the spell has a much darker twist.

​Shadow Slave follows the journey of Sunny as he is thrust into a world of ancient gods, fallen civilizations, and soul-crushing monsters. Unlike other Awakened, Sunny gains a unique but treacherous attribute that ties his fate to the shadows themselves.
